I am Julie Ford Reister. I have worked with people with many different diagnosis, and varying disabilities for more than half of my life. It all started in High School, when I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for a camp which served kids and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Since 1995 I have worked with all ages focusing on

• - independence, self advocacy & safety,
• - self esteem & pride,
• - vocational skills, 
• - art, crafts,
• - social skills and, in 1998, added
• - Yoga, meditation.

It is my observation that "them and us" continues to be a thing. It is my dream to live in an all inclusive, kind and tolerant world regardless of ability, appearance, race, culture or gender identification. I feel this can only happen with information and the voice of real people and real resources sharing their stories. This is without preaching or politics. Join me?
